Kaiya Lyons (she/her) has served as the Chair of Monumental's Board of Directors since 2022. She is an accomplished attorney and social justice advocate who is passionate about empowering members of the theatre community to create inclusive, supportive, and equitable arts spaces where creativity thrives.
Prior to stepping into the Board Chair position, Kaiya spearheaded the development of a comprehensive, trauma-informed policy to prevent discrimination, harassment, and misconduct for Monumental in 2020. Drawing upon her employment law expertise, as well as her years of theatrical experience on- and off-stage, she crafted a groundbreaking complaint reporting, investigation, and resolution procedure to ensure Monumental remains a supportive environment for creatives and audiences alike.
