Max Schwager (he/him) is a Washington, DC-based general manager and producer. He has been on the Monumental board since 2023, having been a fan of their work for years!

A self-described “musical theatre nerd,” Max works at Shakespeare Theatre Company, having served as General Manager since 2021 following his previous roles as Company Manager and Associate General Manager. Previous theatrical positions include roles at McCarter Theatre Center, Goodspeed Musicals, Paper Mill Playhouse, The Public Theater, 321 Theatrical Management and David Stone Productions.

Hailing from Kingston, PA, Max holds a BA in Theatre and Journalism from The George Washington University and currently lives with his labrador retriever, Lizzie, in Alexandria, VA.
